Short brief: Plastilina was born from a simple question: what happens when a product design studio stops being just a studio
and starts being a creative lab?
The project involved the creation of a new independent branch within Studio Volpi — conceived as a garage where ideas are born, experiments happen, and new creative directions take shape. My role covered the full identity development: naming, logo design, and communication concept.
The name Plastilina carries two layers of meaning. On the surface, it references the act of modelling — shaping raw material into something new, something intentional. On a deeper level, it evokes the creative freedom of childhood: the moment in our lives when imagination has no limits, when making something is its own reward, and when problem-solving feels more like play than work.
That childlike mindset — curious, unfiltered, fearless — is exactly what Plastilina stands for. A space where the studio can experiment freely, push boundaries, and approach every challenge with fresh eyes.
From naming to visual identity, every element was designed to communicate one thing: this is where ideas come to life.
