Short brief: Lavazza approached us to design the GUI and UX of Tablì US — the North American evolution of their single-serve coffee system.
Where the European version relied on three physical buttons, the US market demanded something fundamentally different: a machine capable of handling up to 19 functions across espresso, filter, milk, iced brewing and beyond, all navigated through a rotary encoder with a compact circular screen.
The challenge was to absorb this complexity without losing the intuitive, frictionless feel that defines the Tablì experience — designing an interface that felt as natural as pressing a single button, while opening up an entirely new world of coffee possibilities for the American consumer.
